Every decision made and the achieved outcomes must be in position of satisfying the needs of the citizens and the law enforcement when working in the criminal justice system. Criminal justice professionals stand in a position of making difficult decisions everyday through using good discretion. They find themselves in different situations and instances whereby they should make decision of whether an arrest should or should not be made in various instances. This paper will provide significant illustration on the relationship between ethics and professional behaviors in administration of criminal justice. In addition, the paper will also analyze how critical thinking plays a role with regards to the relationship of ethics and professional behaviors. Finally, the paper will propose a seminar in ethics training for law enforcement officers whereby it will illustrate five areas of ethical conduct that should be stressed on during the seminar.
