Explain a bar graph and how to read one A bar graph is a type of chart that uses bars to show comparisons between different categories of data. The bars can be either horizontal or vertical. A bar graph has two axes, on one axis is the types of categories being compared, and on the other axis are the numerical values representing data values. It does not matter on which axis the numerical values or categories are, but numerical values on the vertical axis results in a vertical bar chart. The same is true for a horizontal bar chart. Explain a pie graph and how to read one A pie chart is a graphical representation of data, information, or statistics in apractical pie-slice format. The size of each pie slice shows how much of one data element exists. The bigger the slice, the larger of that particular data is represented.
