LP7 Assignment Section 2 of the Writing Intensive Project Name Course Tutors Name Date Writing Intensive Project There are several moral and ethical perspectives. Every individual has a moral and ethical perspective in his or her life. This paper is a self-reflection exercise on my ethical perspectives. I am of utilitarian ethical orientation. Utilitarian ethical philosophy places the judgment of whether a decision, action or policy is wrong on is consequences. The choice of what is right or wrong solely on the outcome. Utilitarianism moves beyond the scope of self-interest to the interest of society. The fundamental principle of utilitarian rules of conduct is the greatest good to the maximum number of people and pain to the least number of people. If a contemplated action is going to be of great, benefit to myself and harm a greater number of people. My principle is that I should rise above self-interest and favor the greater good. This principle has served me well and most importantly kept my soul in peace. I have had several pivotal experiences that have profoundly strengthened my moral perspective.
