The CEO or President of the company has the power to end all unethical practices going on, but instead they allowed those actions to take place which ended up costing the company $3 Billion. Withholding important information about the side effects of their products to consumers was very unethical. They also falsely marketed their products to increase sales. Employees obviously followed unethical acts done by managers because some employees suggested deleting certain findings done from clinical studies on one of their products. From the case study, suggest key steps that GlaxoSmithKline should take in an effort to become more socially responsible.GlaxoSmithKline should re-evaluate their code of ethics, and re-train all of their employees on ethical business practices. They should also provide all information regarding their products available to consumers.
