Like other phobias such as anti-Semitism, racism, and homophobia, there is an urgent need to be challenged Islamophobia by passing legislations that protect Muslims in the country. This is not to say that other religions should be suppressed in order to promote the Islamic beliefs, but rather, to criminalize speech or other forms of aggression towards Muslims because of their faith.
