Leadership is not about being in a position of authority but it’s about going against the already established norms. They advocate for adaptive leadership instead of relying on individual leaders. We should engage in efforts that can adjust instead that of relying on one leader whom we criticize when things don’t work as they were supposed to who follows the set norms.In John Sullivan’s leadership model he proposes that the needs of the followers and not the leader should be emphasized. He proposes the traditional model of leadership where this form of leadership would encourage collaboration, individual distinction, and significance. There was an overlap for me in that they both focused on leadership being focused more on outcomes that help the community and is less focused on the leaders.
