These refer to the beliefs, attitudes, and values that are held in common among the members of an organizational, or simply, the way things are done within the organization. The culture of the organization greatly affects the quality of decisions made by the executives. It also influences how other stakeholders such as the suppliers, creditors, shareholders and competitors view the business. The organizational culture can either be negative, positive or mixed culture. Google is one of the organizations whose cultures I can describe as positive cultures. It is therefore no surprise that the company is ranked among the top companies to work for. First, the company has an effective hiring process. Being a company that thrives on innovation, Google ensures that its new recruits are able to continue this culture, or even bring forth better cultures based on the core values of the company. Therefore, during the interviewing process, Google is keen at eliminating ordinary applicants and only selecting the extraordinary candidate (Kim & Yu, 2004).
