However, in the recent past, there has been growing interest in studying how some countries retain their cultural identities amidst the pressure from the rest of the world. This concept is known as glocalization. India is among the most glocalized economies. This document will look at glocalization in Indian food industries and media industries as an indicator of glocalization in the general Indian economy. GlocalizationCompanies expand to the international markets to expand their market, to access raw materials and lower cost of labor.
