Normal Accident Theory Versus the Culture of Safety ModelName:Institutional affiliation:Various factors can lead or stimulate occurrence of accidents in organizations.Theories have been developed discussing issues of the accidents in organizations. The Normal Accident Theory emphasizes that in organizations, there is always the possibility of the occurrence of accidents, and they hold the complexity of processes that are inevitable (Pour, 2007, p.164). Therefore, it opposes that organizations can prevent the occurrence of accidents by designing different management operations. Various issues within an organization can lead to the occurrence of accidents inclusion of the structure, strategies and culture within an organization. Moreover, different conditions in any given organization can result in there being the occurrence of accidents. Among the various conditions include and not limited to the technical errors. Technical errors would, for instance, be associated with failure of operations of machines in the different departments. Individuals at the sharp end include the management team responsible for regulation of activities that would lead to the occurrence of accidents. In this case, the individuals may cause errors that would include failure to deal with smooth operations of technological devices in an organization.
