Remuneration ParadoxIt is a general feeling among the people that workers such as teachers, nurses and doctors are underpaid and should be paid more. This argument is based on the fact that pother careers such as acting are more rewarding financially despite been of less significance. I strongly disagree with the view that doctors, nurses and teachers should be paid more as compared to actors and others.Firstly, the 3 careers are a necessity to the society and therefore having higher wages increases the cost of the service to the public. Thus, if teachers are paid equivalent to the actors, then the cost of education will sky-rocket and few will afford it. Consequently, if doctors are paid expensively, very few people will afford medical services. Therefore to deliver affordable services to the people, salaries for workers providing vital services need to be minimal.Health and education are two most important fields in any society. Despite their existence since historical times, both are still developing. For example new medicines and treatments therapies/ procedures need to be discovered to cope with the ever growing needs. Therefore teachers and medical workers need to have other motivation such as research and development rather than financial
