Evidence-Based StrategiesName:Institution:Course Code:Articles from the NPR Website. The articles on the NPR website offer real life accounts of people who have struggled with adjustment issues. They also provide insight in the personal conviction of individuals who live with and understand victims who struggle with adjusting to a new life after loss. Two articles are particularly interesting in understanding adjustment issues as well as evidence-based strategies that can be used to enhance an individual's adjustment skills. In the first article, Sean Carter is a victim of a car accident who lost his ability to walk and talk (Story Corps, February 6, 2015). He now has to express himself through a computerized voice. His life changed completely after the accident. His mother says he has been strong throughout his recovery. He has struggled to adjust to the new life for a while and in the process grown as a person. He, however, identifies his mother Jenny Carter as his main support system. She has helped him through recovery as well as in adjusting to his new life. She guided him in developing adjustment skills that allow him to live a full and complete life. He is
