I have struggled a lot with depression throughout my teenage years and severe anxiety into adulthood, and in my constant battle with these mental illnesses I have learned to be in tune with my own self. I don't have specific examples related to work, because my anxiety affects me 24/7 from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep at night. Many times I need to remind myself that the way I feel about certain situations is not due to others' actions or the situation, but due to my own brain chemistry and perception. By telling myself "This isn't you talking, it's your anxiety," I can dig deeply and sort out how I really feel about things. Especially when I am upset, I usually have to take time to myself to think about why I am upset and how it relates to each situation. I won't begin to talk to someone about an issue until I can
