Women’s Roles Then & NowName:Instructor:Course:Institution Affiliation:Date:Dialogue on Women’s Role in the SocietyThe history of women in both the 18th and 19 centuries paints a very dim light on the significance of women in the society. Women during the times were, left out in the central critical issues of the society. Their right to vote was, withheld, as the community focused on highlighting the milestones of men; often portraying women as incapable of reason and leadership. The best image the 19th century constructed concerning women focused on sex-stereotype. Women could not have a productive career profession in the society. They were, defined using the kitchen and motherhood, conveying a message that, women were only good at being wives, mothers, mistresses, and homemakers. This paper discusses the roles of women, then in the 19th century and now in the eyes of Amelia Earhart and Rosa Parks.
