One of the obstacle that it the difficulty in predicting the nature of a job before it exists. Work design is driven by the desire to achieve job satisfaction or efficiency or both. In redesigning a job practitioners have no way of predicting whether it will result to better satisfaction or efficiency (Campion et. al, 2005). In order to address this challenge, there is need for the practitioners to carry out research on different tenets of the job. For example, if the job is intended to create motivation and hence satisfaction among employees, it is important to research on the main areas of the job and their level of intended motivation.
