Article Critique: LawNameCourseDateAbstractThe credibility of American system of justice has been a subject of debate for a long time. Of greatest concern, however, are the methods used to get judges into offices, and whether or not this is the major source of flaws in the entire system. The two articles reviewed in this paper have concerns over judicial election process and its effects on the justice system. As a result, reform of the judicial selection process is a contemporary topic on the political agenda. In addition, both articles focus on the nature of judicial system and lack of access to appropriate legal representation. Therefore, there is a general consensus to discard the current ‘broken system’ in which judges of great talents are kicked out of office not for maladroitness, but just because they happen to be members of the wrong political parties. All of these reforms are necessary owing to the judiciary’s responsibility to offer access to justice.
