A slave is a person who is wholly dedicated to serve his master. In the ministry of the gospel, Christ is the master. Therefore, ministry is a total commitment to the service of Christ. Apostle Paul is an example of a minister who lived to this definition. To prepare for ministry, I am studying what it takes to be a minister. I also serve in minor capacities such as leading bible studies and discussion among the young members of my local church. Total commitment however needs a lot of dedication to prayers and studies. One must also seek advice from experienced ministers just as early pastors looked up to Paul and Paul looked up to Jesus for inspiration. In my preparation I often ask for guidance from my mentor, who is the priest of my church. I also learn from his actions, how he speaks to the people and spend his time
