As you learned in an earlier module, outlines can be very useful for structuring an essay and arranging ideas. This week's assignment will ask you to outline an existing essay in order to learn more about the features of a well-organized essay. As you trace ideas in someone else's essay, you will better discern the way logical structures are created. As we learned in earlier modules, an outline can be a powerful part of the Planning Process within the overall Writing Process. Later on, you will be applying what you learned in this assignment to creating your own Formal Outline for your Research Paper project.
