The determination of effectiveness of training helps an organization to ensure that it is spending its money and resources where there are returns to the efforts. The best method training evaluation is the model proposed by Donald Kirkpatrick referred to as Kirkpatrick’s Four Level Training evaluation model. The model is very important it evaluates training on four major areas that include Reaction, Learning and Behavior and Results. The evaluation measures whether the trainees felt the training was valuable (reaction), how much knowledge they have gained (Learning), how they have changed their behavior due to the training they received (Behavior) and lastly, good outcomes for the organization from improved performance of the trainees (Results).
