The fact that she is not a native English speaker makes the matrix even harder. She is Italian and she is learning how to speak correct English. Our house has turned into a small classroom lately as my mother insists that we spend at least two hours each day and learn something new about the language. He always reminds every evening, when we sit down for the training that English is a universal language that I cannot afford to speak haphazardly because it is the maker and breaker of careers (Parrott 150).
