Buddhism in this relation teaches that life is full of sufferings caused by desire and the only way to end these sufferings, can only be achieved through enlightenment. Historically Buddhism has its origin in India where it was officially established in the 5th century by its promoter Siddartha Gautama. He is also known as Buddha, which means that he is the Awakened, or simply put the Enlightened One. The main inspiration of this tradition of Buddhism is pegged on the sufferings. Therefore, Siddartha is claimed to have done experimental on the sufferings of the people in the world and positioned himself to find a cure. His means of achieving this remedy was through mediation and analysis. Gautama went into a state of enlightenment through meditation thereby marking an end to sufferings.
