Individual Current Events in Business Research RES/351 Within Chapter 3 of our reading, The Bringing Research to Life of the Business Research Methods section illustrates a scenario within which Myra Wines, a woman hired by the U.S. Army sets out with a researching team to investigate into whether or not the testing area where the army uses its munitions was directly attributing to an escalating civilian death rate. Neighborhood activists accredit the testing area to being environmental hazardous and tried passionately to have that testing area closed-off permanently. On the other side of the issue, the Army believed that its dead shells would only flare-up if a live bomb was there to cause it to ignite. According to the Army, civilian deaths could not be attributed to their munitions testing area. Wines hypothesized that the dead shells could potentially flare-up and ignite which would become hazardous to civilians with no trace of the event even taking place (University of Phoenix, 2011, Week One Reading).
