Therefore, this was a study done on males and females between the ages of 18 and 25 years of age to study the structure and stability of positive development during young adulthood. (Hawkins, 2011, pg. 2, para. 1) This article and topic interested me because I believe all young adults should know the importance of stability and change in their lives. Over the past several decades there has been a change in the nature of transiting from adolescence to adulthood. (Hawkins, 2011, pg. 2, para. 2) For example, there has been a delay in adult roles such as getting a full time job, and having the commitment of a long term relationships based on previous generations.
